Bare Feet

bare feet on grass
bare feet slipping and sliding on seaweed at the shore
bare feet on a warm rock in the meadow
bare feet sinking deep in thick, cool moss
bare feet placed carefully here -

just so

and carefully there -

just so

hands poised as if the multiverses might escape
and trammel down the coffee shop on the corner,
should I happen to let go

just so
